MIT essay how would you feel if you were reading this?
So I applied early action to MIT and one of the questions on the app was what is a personality trait of yours that you are most proud of. In my essay I wrote about how I was in DSS, my parents didn't have custody of me, and I wasn't allowed to go to my normal very competitive school. I talked about how DSS wouldn't listen to me so I had spend months working to convince doctors (I was sick in the hosp at that time) and my team to advocate for me and my schooling. I later had to stand in front of a judge and talk about what I needed education wise. This happened when I was in the 10th grade and I did end up being able to go back to my school. I used this example to show my tenacious abilities... do you think that this was an appropriate topic? I had a few other people read it before I submitted it but I was too nervous to let a lot of people look it over... so far everyone told me it was fine.. but how would you feel if you were reading this?
