Is Alabama the right palce.....?

My family is from Montana, we have 4 kids. We are looking for a place to relocate. I think Alabama is looking good (Daphne to be exact) I was hoping to hear from some locals. Will my kids be treated OK if they talk "funny" Will we be warmly welcomed? It is a huge decision and I appreciate your opinions! Thanks!
