A good example of the human cost incurred by emergence of these economic principles can be seen in Brazil. In the early 1980s a wave of development swept into Brazilian cities. This cause the people at the top to become extremely wealthy, however do to the uneven distribution of wealth the poor just got poorer. To support the rising of industries, human labor was needed. Recruiter for specific industries such as sugarcane and steal would go into slums to gather people for work. Eventually these people become slaves of the mines and the fields as they could not pay the fees they were charged for being fed in the work place. These people all become victims of the current economic system which we all take part in.
